Radiation Safety Program
Radiation Safety Program
WSU is committed to the safe and compliant use of sources of ionizing radiation for research, instruction, and the benefit of the community.
Our Mission
The WSU Radiation Safety Program supports the University’s teaching, research and outreach mission by administering a program that ensures the safe use of radioactive materials and radiation machines on the Pullman campus and other WSU sites around the state.
The Radiation Safety Program works to minimize radiation exposure to University personnel and provide necessary services to users of radioactive materials and radiation machines.
The program is designed to meet compliance with Title 10, Chapter 246 of the Washington Administrative Code and the conditions enumerated in the University’s Broadscope Radioactive Materials License, WN-C003-1, issued by the State of Washington Department of Health.
